Singapore, July 19, 2016 – Sizmek (NASDAQ: SZMK), the open ad management company for multiscreen campaigns, has been selected as a mobile advertising partner for Singapore-based MediaCorp, and has started rolling out HTML5 Rich Media ad formats across its suite of top online destinations.
MediaCorp has partnered with Sizmek to run dynamic creative ad units, HTML5 Rich Media ad serving across both mobile and desktop, and viewability measurement for MediaCorp’s suite of websites.
As part of the partnership, Sizmek also delivers education and training for MediaCorp’s sales and operations teams, builds custom ad formats and provides production services to MediaCorp. The MediaCorp sites that have introduced new Rich Media ad formats include its top online properties, Channel News Asia, Elle, Toggle, and TodayOnline.
The ad units deployed include expandable banners, responsive mobile ads, portrait ads that include a photo gallery, video, and text in one frame, and a 3D Cube Flip format that enables advertisers to highlight product information and a video. These are all built using Sizmek’s Ad Builder for HTML5; a codeless authoring tool that empowers companies, like MediaCorp, to design and deliver ads seamlessly across all screens.
The partnership with Sizmek is an important part of MediaCorp’s strategy to transition away from Flash and adopt HTML5 as the new standard for digital advertising. This shift will also enable them to better monetize their mobile ad inventory.
“Sizmek’s interactive ad formats on the MediaCorp sites will help the publisher maximise its digital advertising yields and provide better engagement results for brand advertisers,” said Joey Chee, Sizmek Regional Director, Southeast Asia.
“Publishers are looking to increase interaction and dwell rates by making advertisements more relevant and appealing, and to directly engage with users through the delivery of stand-out creative.”
MediaCorp, one of the top media companies in Singapore, said there was increasing demand from brands to deliver ad experiences that included elements such as dynamic product information, data capture, and powerful visual features.
“We are staying true to our core values of engaging, entertaining, and enriching our audiences by harnessing the power of creativity,” said Rodney Tay, Vice President, Digital Sales Solutions and Operations, MediaCorp. “We continue to work very closely with technology partners such as Sizmek to bring better digital experiences to our advertisers in Southeast Asia.”
Tay added: “Our publisher paid model to advertisers in the region helps marketers with their digital investments.”
