Sizmek Crew Helps Raise $62,000 at UnLtd Charity Regatta

On November 3, four intrepid sailors jumped on board the Sizmek boat to take on ten other boats in the Sydney Harbour for a race towards a brighter future.

Sizmek was one of ten sponsoring teams from the ad-tech industry to participate in UnLtd’s first Big Splash sailing regatta, a fast and fun event to raise funds for programs supporting disadvantaged youth. The event was the brainchild of Simon Hopkins from Contentshed and raised more than $60K for charities helping kids at risk.

UnLtd is the media, marketing, and creative industry’s social purpose organization, working with dozens of charities dedicated to undoing disadvantages for the younger population in particular. Like Sizmek, UnLtd is devoted to creating impressions that inspire through programs ranging from homelessness services to mentoring.

Among the guests watching the race were some of the charities’ founders, young people who have benefited from their programs, and even an Olympic sailor or two.  On board, the teams included novice sailors and old salts, but everyone enjoyed the gorgeous day on the water and a spirit of common purpose.

Team Mindshare brought home the Big Splash trophy, but it was the kids in crisis who were the regatta’s real winners. Learn more about the wonderful work of UnLtd here, and connect with your rep or a Sizmek pro here to see what good we can do for you.
