New Gartner Analysis Names Sizmek a Market Visionary

Sizmek has been recognized as the sole Visionary in Gartner’s first-ever Magic Quadrant analysis for ad tech. Gartner Magic Quadrants (MQ) are graphical representations of  how well technology providers are executing their stated visions and how well they are performing against Gartner’s market view. Each MQ is a culmination of research in a specific market, providing a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors.


“We believe placement in the Visionary quadrant validates our company strategy and our opportunity to help customers bring together media, data, and creative–all powered by AI—to meet their business objectives,” says Volker Hatz, Chief Data Officer at Sizmek.

In this new MQ category, Sizmek is positioned furthest in terms of “completeness of vision” and was the only ad tech company to fall into the Visionary category. Gartner defines Visionaries as companies that:

  • Are representative of trends that are shaping, or have the potential to shape, the market
  • Have a strong vision and supporting roadmap
  • Are innovative in their approach to addressing the needs of the market
  • Represent an opportunity to jump-start an innovative initiative
  • Provide some compelling, differentiating capability that offers a competitive advantage as either a complement to, or a substitute for, existing solutions
  • Can be more easily influenced with regard to their product roadmap and approach

Gartner singled out Sizmek’s ability to exceed our customers’ performance expectations and ease-of-use in managing changes at the campaign level, an efficient approach that allows marketers to make adjustments and manage optimization with a minimal disruption to their workflow. Also noted was Sizmek’s ability to scale from large clients to the smaller or mid-sized clients who have less than $10 million media budgets.
